We hope you're all doing well as autumn flies by! PQ has been busy rehearsing four brand new works - by Jlin, Jeff Scott, Mazz Swift, and Eddie Venegas - which we commissioned as part of our What Is American: Rhythm Nation project with the support of a 2024 CMA Artistic Projects grant.

As we prepare to premiere this new music on December 4 at NYC's Unfiltered Music Festival, we'd like to invite any of you who are free to join us for a virtual workshop this coming Wednesday, October 23, 5:00-8:00pm, featuring all four composers and moderated by our friend Loki Karuna. We'll be playing excerpts of the new pieces, workshopping ideas with the composers, and setting aside time for discussion and Q+A.
